I arrived in town and had to start a job the next day. I was staying in a motel as I began my employment. Once I started looking for a place to stay, real estate agents came at me like seagulls to a loaf of bread on the beach. Everyone wanted to take me for a ride on Saturday to look for my next home. I told them I just needed to get out of the motel. They wouldn't listen, Julie did. She found an affordable apartment that I could rent while I looked for my home. The apartment complex was set up to help me with the lease, so--when I found my home--I would be able to move without paying an expensive buy-out. Judy listened when others wanted to talk. She helped me with what I needed, when others had their own ideas of what they wanted to help me with.
As my wife and I searched for our home, we came to appreciate Julie's ability to listen to her customer's needs, pay attention to the details, and find those that matched what we needed most. She reads the market extremely well, but, more importantly, she reads the customer well, too.
We went from home to home looking at positives and negatives, and Julie was clear on those. She spotted and noted every red flag along the way. She was a good advisor and counselor to monitor our goals and keep us on track. She paid attention to the details of our wants and needs, so we didn't have to.
We are now more than satisfied with the home we purchased. It was affordable for us, and it met all the criteria for our family's needs, as well as providing the most important bonuses we were looking for, given our budget.
After we moved in, we had an issue with air conditioning, and were weren't getting the service from the home warranty we needed. Julie, long after the time for her services were over, helped us get through that trouble, not only with advice; rather, with immediate intervention not required from her at all. She truly goes the extra mile for the people she serves.
Julie's knowledge of the local Wilmington area market was stellar. She knew the ins and outs of the economics, locations, and amenities of each section of the area we considered. She has the market connections to find everything, and the experience and expertise to sift it out to provide the right places for her customer's to view on site. I don't see how anyone could do a better job for you if you are moving to this area and looking for a home.

when we first used Julie Chappell to purchase our home in Leland NC I drove down from Asheville to see what she could find for us. She spent the better part of the next 17 days taking me to see about 100 homes that would be possibilities, we put in offers on two of them only to find that they had just just gone under contract literally only minutes before we put in our offer. We then found another home that we made an offer on and the seller was very interested in it and we were to get together the next day to finalize everything.. We got a call from the realtor at 9:00 the next morning telling us that the seller had had a severe heart attack the previous evening, was in very serious condition, and could not make a decision for the next 18 days. To say that Julie was patient and determined would be a gross under statement. And despite the long process, she continued to both very kind and very professional. So, 2 years later, when we decided to move to South Carolina, naturally we again called on Julie to represent us in selling the home, which she did in very little time and with her same pleasant and professional demeanor, despite the fact that our neighbor was also a very competent realtor .
Julie is a gem, and we still consider her a friend. Were we ever to come back to North Carolina, Julie would be the first person we would call.
